1. About Mumpie

Mumpie is a free social network where registered users ("Members") can post and read short messages called "mumpies" for topics popular in the communities they want to follow. A community is defined by country and language.

Every user, whether registered or unregistered, may view the user profile of Members and view their User Submissions, including topics and mumpies. User accounts are only accessible by the user who created the account and Mumpie customer service personnel and technical staff. Mumpie's Members may change their user account, user profile and submissions at any time.

Mumpie cares about online privacy. If you have any questions concerning this Privacy Policy, please send an e-mail to info@mumpie.com.

2. Information Collection and Use by Mumpie

Mumpie also collects user submitted profile data including but not limited to: mumpie author name, country and state/province of residence and mumpie Content, making it available for indexing by public search engines in order to assist users in finding mumpies and their writers and communicating with these writers via mumpies.

Mumpie also logs non-personally-identifiable information including IP address, profile information, aggregate user data, and browser type, from users and visitors to the Website. This data is used to manage the Website, track usage and improve the Website services. This non-personally-identifiable information may be shared with third-parties to provide more relevant services and advertisements to Members. User IP addresses are recorded for security and monitoring purposes. User profile information including Members' pictures and names are displayed to users in order to facilitate interaction between the Mumpie users. E-mail addresses are used for the purpose of sending notifications related to Mumpie’s services. To facilitate searching, Mumpie allows users to search for mumpies and mumpie writers in information including but not limited to: author names, country and state/province of residence, mumpie Content, and other data points collected by Mumpie from Members in establishing online profiles. Mumpie assumes no privacy liability with regard to Members using aliases, pen names, or other means to facilitate privacy in an otherwise non-private line of work.

We may also use a user's e-mail address to send updates, a newsletter or news regarding Mumpie’s services. Users may choose not to receive e-mail of this type by changing settings in their user account.

Mumpie or a partner may sponsor promotions, sweepstakes or contests on the Mumpie Website. In order to participate, users may be asked to provide personal information including name, e-mail address or home address or to answer questions. We may transfer personal information to certain ad partners that you have explicitly requested to receive information from. It will be clear at the point of collection who is collecting the personal information and whose privacy statement will apply.
